   Seasonal Activities

The Les Cheneaux Islands
Where does one begin to tell you about being in such a pristine area as the Les Cheneaux Islands and not simply say, "Each day is a Season of Events."

Let's begin by letting you know that every season of the year is a special event -- Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter!
 Summer

Summer is fantastic - family fun for everyone. Boating, swimming, sailing, fishing for salmon, perch, herring, trout, northern pike & bass.

Our 4th of July events offer a beautiful display of fireworks over the water that is hard to beat.

Our Salmon fishing is one of the best in the area and offers all ages the opportunity to be a winner.

The Antique Wooden Boat Show in Hessel is one of the best in the nation, bringing thousands of visitors from all over to display their antique wooden boats with great pride.
 Fall

Let's begin this time of year with a walk across the "Big Mac".

While you are having the best family Memorial Day weekend in Les Cheneaux, you can participate in the annual Mackinac Bridge Walk with our current governor of the State of Michigan.

As the color tours begin in our woodlands and forests, a drive through our exquisite countryside will take your breath away!

Then, our hunting camps begin to open with the hopes of great success in hunting waterfowl, turkey, partridge, rabbit and deer.
 Winter

The quiet time. Cross-country ski trails are open and the wildlife has relaxed from the hunting season.

It's now time to walk the woods in those snowshoes and cross-country skies.

Snowmobiling trails and an award-winning bridge to safely cross over I-75 onto Mackinac trails that will take you on a day trip to visit our neighbors in St. Ignace, Trout Lake and Newberry.

Maybe you want to open up your snowmobile across open fields on a day trip to Pickford, Kinross and Sault Ste. Marie, or through the woods to Grandma's house at our neighbors in DeTour and Drummond Island.

It's a beautiful

in Les Cheneaux!
